Bishop Acklam was established by two local dedicated professionals, Phill Gill and Michael Evans, experts in the field of construction and development. Together, with their team of skilled craftsmen, they construct or convert superior, unique properties with thought and creativity, using space and where possible, preserving the character of buildings and surroundings. Phill Gill With 20 years experience in all aspects of the property scene, Phill is a highly respected name in development. His skills lie in having an outstanding sense of vision which enables Bishop Acklam to develop stylish, state-of-the-art homes of the highest quality for the discernable buyer. The high quality projects under his care here in the South West would not look out of place in the most affluent areas of London, but he is maximising the benefits that the beautiful West Country setting provides for bespoke homes. Phill is also a  former Director of Plymouth Argyle Football Club and played an instrumental part in the clubs rise through the divisions in recent years. Michael Evans Michael is another highly regarded name in the region. His successful football career took him on a journey through Premiership clubs such as Southampton and West Bromwich Albion and then on to table climbing Plymouth Argyle where he played an impressive 432 matches, bowing out in May 2006. Michael has maintained a long term passion for property development and has worked in the industry for a number of years. His experience in building construction is second to none and he oversees all the building and development projects personally to ensure all work meets his own personal, exacting standards. On or off the field, he always achieved his goal. With extensive knowledge of the local area, Michael’s instinct of choosing exceptional potential development sites has always proved invaluable.
